Charlie A. Martin, 73, of Fishers, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2017, at his home. He was born on June 11, 1943, to the late Albert and Marjorie (Epperson) Martin in Pendleton, In.

For 30 years, Charlie worked as a Mechanical Draftsman for the Naval Air Warfare Center in Indianapolis where he was also an engineering technician. He collected guns and knives, and traveled the United States in his younger years. Charlie owned a classic 1971 Mercury Cougar XR7 which he loved. He enjoyed Native American culture and artifacts and college basketball, especially Indiana schools and the Big 10 Conference. Most of all, Charlie was very outgoing and friendly, and had a heart of gold.

He is survived by his daughter, Kathy Houghtalen; granddaughters, Victoria Houghtalen and Natalie Houghtalen; cousin, Shirley Matthews Culp; and special friends, Nadine Fletcher, Katie Hawkins, and Kathy Alcon.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2017, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street in Noblesville, with visitation from Noon until time of service. The family requests that friends come dressed in casual attire.
