Nancy Nell Wood, 86, of Pendleton, passed away Friday, July 7, 2017, at St. Vincent’s in Indianapolis. Born July 2, 1931, in Martinsville, to the late Harry & Vadis Cora (Hobson) Hart.

She had worked as an LPN before dedicating her life to her family. Nancy was a long-time member of Ovid Community Church, where she served on the church board and was a member of the Mary Martha Circle. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society and of The Garden Club of Pendleton.

Survivors include children, Roger Wood, David (Donna) Wood, Dan (Laura) Wood, Joy Wood, and Brady Wood; stepdaughter, Penny Ginley; grandchildren, Heidi Wilson, Cory Wood, Shannon Harshman, Alicia Lowe, Jaclyn Wood, Jaycey Wood, Tarrah Greenwell, Daulton Alford, Brooke Alford, and Ryan Ginely; several great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald “Buzz” Wayne Wood; and several siblings.

Services were conducted by Pastor Keith Wooden on Wednesday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel.
