LAPEL–In their final warm-up for the Madison County tournament, the favored Lapel Bulldogs rolled past Elwood 5-0 Tuesday afternoon.

Lapel swept the singles matches and dropped just two games in the process. Joseph Conrad defeated Jake Ball in the No. 1 match 6-0, 6-1, Jesse McCurdy blitzed Cole Courtney 6-0, 6-1 in the No. 2 match, and Austin Lyons blanked Bryce Mobley 6-0, 6-0 in the No. 3 match.

Zach Krebs and Reid Ratzlaff also had very little trouble in dispatching Jack Bennett and Jordan Garcia in the No. 1 doubles match 6-1, 6-2.

Lapel won the No. 2 doubles match in a forfeit.

Lapel (3-0) will host Madison-Grant today at 5 p.m. in the first round of the 2017 Madison County tournament.
