PHHS golfers fifth at HHC; Tinsley all-conference

GREENFIELD–Sophomore Danielle Tinsley earned All-Conference honors as the Pendleton Heights Arabians placed fifth at the 2017 Hoosier Heritage Conference golf tournament, held Saturday at Hawk’s Tail.

New Palestine won their third consecutive HHC meet with a team score of 351, easily outdistancing the 394 posted by runner-up Greenfield-Central.

The Arabians came in with a team score of 425.

Tinsley fired a 96, good enough to finish eighth. The top eight individual golfers earned All-Conference honors.

Senior Kiersten Maxwell was next for the Arabians with a 100. She was followed by junior Courtney Dawson with a 114 and junior Haley Brown with a 115.

The Arabians will return to Hawk’s Tail Monday to take on the Dragons before hosting Greenfield Central Tuesday when Maxwell, the team’s lone senior will be honored.
