South Madison approves certified and staff moves with the start of the new year

PENDLETON — With the start of the new school year, many certified and staff positions have changed in nearly all South Madison Community School Corp. buildings.

On the personnel front, the district has approved hiring Michael Peo as the new assistant principal at Pendleton Heights High School (PHHS).

Other personnel moves approved during the most recent school board meeting include PHHS teacher Cathy Tudor, who officially submitted her retirement.

New certified staff members include Jessica Sherbahn, special education teacher, East Elementary School (EES); Angela Holbert, fourth-grade teacher, Maple Ridge Elementary School (MRE); Garrett Cupp, special education teacher, Pendleton Heights Middle School (PHMS); Darren Phillips, science teacher, PHMS; Rachel Boyer, language arts teacher, PHMS; Douglas Wilson, construction trades teacher, PHHS; Julie Heil, math teacher, PHHS; Christian Seal, English teacher, PHHS; Jessica Blake, first-grade teacher, EES; and Jen Godbey, long-term substitute, MRE.

New staff recommendations include Sharon Gray, instructional assistant, EES; Ian Callen, special ed instructional assistant, PHHS; Becky Payne, medical assistant, PHHS; Andrea Stone, instructional assistant, EES; Adam Ritz, assistant athletic director, PHHS; Crystal Doll, one-on-one instructional assistant, PHHS; Kenneth Cobb, crossing guard, Pendleton Elementary School (PES); Cindy Reynolds, instructional assistant, EES; Erin Wickenkamp, part-time custodian, PHMS; Tirzah Ellet, instructional assistant, MRE; Melody Fannin, instructional assistant, MRE; Jacqueline Gardner, instructional assistant, MRE; Susan Gray, instructional assistant, MRE; Tracy Oler, instructional assistant, MRE; Ashley Scott, instructional assistant, MRE; Stacie Wheeler, instructional assistant, MRE; Lindsay Bubalo, special ed instructional assistant, PES; and Bernice Avey, special ed instructional assistant, PES.

New extracurricular staff include: Brett Bubalo, boys soccer coach, PHMS; Baylee Greene, cheer competition coach, PHMS; Christian Seal, yearbook sponsor, PHHS; and Audrey Stahly, girls assistant soccer coach, PHHS.

Extracurricular resignations include Cathy Tudor, yearbook sponsor, PHHS; and Brenda Jamerson, cheer competition coach, PHMS.
