PENDLETON — The hard work paid off and helped the Pendleton Heights High School Arabians boys soccer team get a win against Anderson.

The Arabians battled to a 2-0 win Thursday, Aug. 30, in front of many future Arabians on Youth Night.

The team faced off against a Madison County rival in a game that saw few chances for scores on both sides in the first half as defense was the name of the game. The score remained 0-0 at the midway point.

The Arabians are back to an even record at 2-2 and were scheduled to face Marion on the road Tuesday, Sept. 4 (after press time).

Earlier in the week, the Arabians boys soccer team fell to Greenfield-Central by a score of 3-2 in Hoosier Heritage Conference play.

The Arabians found themselves down 1-0 at half but played an even second half.

Abe Bohlsen led the charge for the Arabians as he netted two goals, giving the Arabians a 2-1 lead.

After a controversial call, Greenfield-Central was able to tie things up from a set piece.

Late in the game, the Arabians were on the wrong end of a game-winning goal, giving the Cougars the conference win.

Pendleton Heights faced Greenfield- Central at home Wednesday, Aug. 29, in its first Hoosier Heritage Conference game of the season.

It was a battle between less-than-full-strength teams, as both were missing players because of injuries.

The Arabians found themselves leading 1-0 at halftime after some good play on both sides of the ball. They got a goal from Taylor Fort, thanks to the assist by Anna Childers.

With a short bench, however, the Arabians ran out of steam in the end, giving up two goals in the second half while being unable to generate any offense.

The loss dropped the Arabians to 3-2-1 on the season (0-1, HHC).

The Arabians were set to travel to Park Tudor today, Thursday, Sept. 6, and to Delta on Sept. 10.
