Pendleton volleyball wins busy week including winning the Madison County tournament, with wins over several teams including Lapel High School

PENDLETON — Pendleton Heights won the Madison County volleyball tournament, defeating Lapel 2-0 Saturday, Sept. 8.

Game scores were 20-25 and 22-25. Junior Gracie King had 11 kills in the win, while freshman Avery Ross had 10 kills.

The Arabians also defeated Frankton in three games, 2-1. After losing the first game 25-22, Pendleton Heights bounced back and won 25-20 and 15-6. Ross had 13 kills in the match, while Avery Hall had 11 digs.

In other games during the tournament, Pendleton Heights also beat Anderson Prep Academy 2-0 with scores of 25-5 and 25-9, and Elwood 2-0 with scores of 25-11 and 25-9.

The Arabians lost an away match against Hamilton Southeastern by a score of 3-0 on Monday, Sept. 10.

The Royals won 9-25, 20-25 and 22-25.

Pendleton Heights has an away conference match against New Palestine set for 7:30 p.m. today, Thursday, Sept. 13.
