Arabians start hot, have Cougars in their sights

PENDLETON — The game could be an exciting Hoosier Heritage Conference showdown when Pendleton Heights (3-1, 2-0 HHC) take to the road for a 7:30 p.m. Friday game against rival Greenfield-Central (2-0, 0-0 HHC).

Pendleton Heights already has picked up its second conference win, 49-45, at Yorktown (0-1) Saturday, Nov 11.

Aubree Dwiggins led the Arabians with 20 points and six rebounds. Kailyn Graham chipped in 14 points. Kylie Davis and Leonie Wilson each added five points. Megan Mills scored three points, and Niyah Loomis finished with two.

Pendleton Heights beat New Castle in the conference opener in what turned out to be a barnburner 63-61 overtime game on Tuesday, Nov. 6.

Pendleton Heights came from behind with a balanced attack with four players in double figures. The leading scorer was junior Megan Mills, who had 17; Graham had 14 and Davis had 13. The Arabians also got 10 points off the bench from Loomis, who played a great defensive game.

Dwiggins scored seven points, and Wilson added a bucket.

Pendleton Heights also will be on the road Saturday, traveling to Frankton for a 7:30 p.m. tipoff.
