PENDLETON — Pendleton Heights High School Marching Arabians competed in the Indiana State School Music Association’s Open Class Semistate Marching Band competition Saturday, Nov. 2, at Pike High School.

It was the band’s second year participating in the competition and the second year qualifying for the state finals, set for Saturday, Nov. 9, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Pendleton Heights will perform at noon.

One hundred four Open Class bands began competition on Oct. 19 at four regional sites.

Eighty bands — twenty in each enrollment category, determined by size of school — continued to semistate performance on Nov. 2.
