PENDLETON — Pendleton Heights High School recognizes the Top 10% of the year’s graduating class.
There are 37 students in that group for the Class of 2021.
The countdown continues this week with Nos. 13 to 6. It will be completed in next week’s edition of The Times-Post.
Brayton Gust is currently ranked No. 13 with a grade-point average of 12.4444. He is the son of Brian and Pam Gust. Brayton has been a member of National Honor Society, National Beta Club, and has participated in many areas of the school’s band department: Indoor percussion, Marching Band, Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Express and Jazz Combo. He has enjoyed writing and arranging music during the last two years. Brayton plans to march with the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps in 2021. He will also be attending Anderson University to study computer engineering. His goal is to help with the development of autonomous vehicles in the future.
Macy Browning is currently ranked No. 12 with a GPA of 12.549. She is the daughter of Lindy Browning and Kyle and Tammy Browning. Macy has participated in Pendleton Heights soccer, Pendleton Emergency Ambulance Rookie Program and has been a member of National Honor Society, National Beta Club, Student Athletic Council and Athletes of Character. She enjoys playing soccer for Indy Premier Soccer Club. Macy will be attending Indiana Wesleyan University to study nursing and to be a member of their women’s soccer team. She hopes to become an intensive care unit Nurse and then work toward becoming a certified Registered Nurse anesthetist.
Kaitlyn Wheetley is currently ranked No. 11 with a GPA of 12.6122. She is the daughter of Eric and Holly Wheetley. Kaitlyn has been a member of National Honor Society, National Beta club, swimming, student council, soccer, Arabian Allies, Pendleton Players (theater) and Best Buddies. She also enjoys being active, helping out in her community and spending time with family and friends. Kaitlyn plans to study nursing at Ball State University. Her goal is to become a neonatal nurse.
Emma Adams is currently ranked No. 10 with a GPA of 12.6875. She is the daughter of Lora and Bryan Adams. Emma has played soccer all four years; she started on the junior varsity team her freshman year and earned her varsity letters in her sophomore, junior and senior years. She was nominated as captain of the varsity team her senior year. Emma also participated in the PEA Rookie program, National Beta Club, National Honor Society (treasurer), French Club and National French Honor Society, and was the Sunday School leader for sixth-grade girls. Emma plans to study at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis or Indiana University in Bloomington, and will major in biology and minor in chemistry. She will strive to attend Indiana University School of Dentistry for her doctorate in dentistry. Emma would like to operate her own practice as a dentist.
Logan Bolinger is currently ranked No. 9 with a GPA of 12.7143. He is the son of Jason and Dusty Bolinger. Logan has been a member of National Honor Society, National Beta Club, soccer and tennis teams, National French Honor Society and the Wind Ensemble in the band department. Logan plans to attend Butler University to study actuarial science. He wants to become an actuary.
Logan Parker is currently ranked No. 8 with a GPA of 12.7174. He is the son of Shawn Stenski and Troy Parker. He has been a member of National Beta Club. He is undecided at this time as to which college he will attend. Logan would like to work in the computer industry.
Sienna Huther is currently ranked No. 7 with a GPA of 12.8571. She is the daughter of John and Jennifer Huther. Sienna has been a member of the GAPP (German American Partnership Program) and played on the JV soccer team her freshman year. Sienna is also in Scouts BSA, where she is a Firecrafter and in “Order of the Arrow”. She plans to attend IUPUI to major in mechanical engineering. Her career path is undecided at this time.
Chloe Etchison is currently ranked No. 6 with a GPA of 12.8679. She is the daughter of Brittnie Etchison and Richard Beckham. Chloe has been a member of National Beta Club, National Honor Society, French Club, National French Honor Society, Best Buddies, SADD and the band department: Marching Band, Concert Band and Pep Band. She plans to attend Butler University where she will major in biology. Chloe would like to become a pediatrician.
