Jon M. Wilson, 76, of Anderson, formerly of Pendleton, passed away Sunday, April 25, 2021 in Anderson. He was born September 6, 1944 in Anderson, IN to Joe and Agnes (McGuire) Wilson. Jon was a 1963 graduate of Vernon Township High School. He operated Wilson’s Union 76 gas station in Ingalls. He later owned and operated Economy Insulation and eventually joined the Heat and Frost Insulators Union Local 18.

Jon loved watching his grandsons play baseball, all over the country. He enjoyed supporting his kids, grandkids and great grandkids by going to ballgames, choir concerts, the Indiana State Fair for Maci’s artwork, or whatever endeavors they were involved in. He loved to travel, loved his family vacations, sitting by the campfire, and enjoyed going to the casino. He was most happy being with his family.

Jon is survived by his sons: Brett Wilson of Anderson; Brian (Amy) Wilson of Anderson; Brandon (Shannon) Wilson of Pendleton; daughter: Brodi (Vernon) Jackson of Pendleton; grandchildren: Callahan (Jody) Wilson; Spencer (Tracy) Wilson; Ethan Wilson; Augdan (Brandi) Wilson; Chandler Wilson; SGT. Ashton (Victoria) Wilson, USMC, Satchell (Baylee Everitt) Wilson; Maci Wilson and Kahlil Jackson; great-grandchildren: Liam, Rory, Case and Hayes; sister Sherry Reger; brother Ben (Connie) Wilson, sisters-in-law Dolly Wilson, Kathy Wilson and Brenda Wilson as well as cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Jill (Alford) Wilson in 2019, parents, sister Judith Ann Wilson, brothers Jim, Gene, Bill and Mick Wilson as well as sister-in-law Joyce Wilson.

Friends may call on Sunday, May 2, 2021 from 2 to 6 pm at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. A funeral service to celebrate Jon’s life will be held on Monday, May 3, 2021at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.
