Lapel - They may not be starving artists, but the Lapel Community Band will play for the hungry this weekend. Kicking off its 2013 season, the band will host its fourth annual “Will Play For Food (Pantry)” event, benefitting the Lapel Food Pantry, Sunday, March 10.

“We are the Lapel Community Band and we feel like we need to contribute to the community when there is a good cause,” Band Director John Parshall said. “And this is certainly a good cause.”
