Discussions on a proposed annexation that would include sections of Fall Creek, Green and Stony Creek townships have been delayed by the Anderson City Council.
Meeting Thursday, Feb. 14, the council heard from Anderson Mayor Kevin Smith, who was seeking support for his proposed fiscal plans. But after hearing from several concerned residents, the council decided to table the discussions until at least its March meeting.
City Council President David Eicks confirmed that several hundred residents attended the meeting, most of whom were worried about the proposed annexations.
