Pendleton - Pendleton Heights has the reputation of having one of the best baseball fields in the state, but it takes money to maintain the facility. That is why the team is hosting a golf outing at Fall Creek Golf Course Sept. 21.
One of the goals is to raise money to renovate and upgrade the water irrigation system, which coach Travis Keesling said has not been changed since the field was built. “We have to have an overhaul so all of our areas are covered,” Keesling said. “It’s pretty bad. We are also putting in approximately 65 tons of infield dirt to upgrade it to make sure it is a soft playable surface.”
