Bulldog preview: Tennis to serve up experience on court

Lapel - Without its top player from last year, Lapel was set to open its girls tennis season Tuesday, April 9 at home against Anderson Prep Academy.

Senior Stephanie Pritchett, who was at No. 1 singles in 2012, is out after sustaining an ACL injury playing basketball this past winter. Coach Justin Coomer said Pritchett is doubtful to play this season.

However, the Bulldogs will move on with a cast loaded with experience, along with several promising younger players.

Sophomore Lexi Allen is set to start at No. 1 singles after being at No. 2 singles last year, in which Lapel finished 16-7.
