Lapel - If Lapel’s boys basketball team plays in this week’s sectional the way it did on senior night last week, it will be very tough to beat.
However, the Bulldogs may be ticketed for a very tough matchup when they open the Class 2A-Sectional 40 at home beginning at 6 p.m. Friday, March 1.
Lapel (12-9) gets the winner of the Tuesday, Feb. 26 first-round contest between Shenandoah (7-13) and sixth-ranked Wapahani (18-3).
Wapahani is expected to advance and would take a 13-game winning streak into the Lapel game.
