Pendleton - A criminal is still on the loose after holding an unidentified Pendleton man at gunpoint and forcing him to withdraw money from several area ATMs.

Pendleton Police Chief Marc Farrer said the PPD responded to a carjacking after dispatch sent officers to the 3100 block of W. Angle Road at 10:58 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, “reference to a robbery.”

“The victim stated that he entered his vehicle and was preparing to drive away, and that he was unaware someone was hiding in the backseat,” Farrer explained.
