Lapel - For the third time in two years, a Lapel football game was interrupted by weather and resumed the next day.

But this time, the result was different and the Bulldogs left no doubt about the outcome.

Lapel rode eight touchdowns accounted for by quarterback Brady Cherry and defeated school-district rival Frankton 52-34 in a contest completed Saturday, Aug. 31.

Lightning halted play Friday, Aug. 30, with nine minutes left in the third quarter and the Bulldogs (1-1) ahead 38-20.
