Lapel - Noel and Luke Loller cradled their favorite chickens as area 4-H Poultry Director Sharon McDermit gave an emotional plea during the April 18 Lapel Town Council meeting.
“I love these kids and I love this program,” McDermit said after voicing concern about recent discussions to prohibit livestock within town limits.
The Loller children appeared with their parents, Donnie and Christa. Fellow 4H members Hunter Morris and his mother, Heather, also spoke out for the cause.
