Pendleton - Cayla Truman of Pendleton is the new event coordinator for the popular
Christmas in Pendleton downtown Pendleton celebration. The 13th annual
day-long event scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 10, is sponsored by the
Pendleton Business Association. The festival is designed to bring
people downtown Pendleton and let them experience the unique shopping
and dining opportunities of the town.
The very popular Snowball Toss across State Street will return again
with festival attendees tossing foam snowballs to each other across
the street. Past festivals have brought thousands of fun-loving people
to the downtown area to participate in this unique holiday tradition.
The Christmas in Pendleton Parade will precede the snowball toss as a
growing number of clubs, organizations and businesses participate to
celebrate the season.
The community also is invited to enjoy unique shopping and dining
opportunities throughout downtown Pendleton. Other activities planned
this year include: crowning of the Snow Queen and Court, appearance of
the Parade grand marshal, official snowfall measurement and grand
marshal reception at town hall, the third annual collectors’ postal
cancellation stamp, Snow Babies Contest, children's activities,
antique cars, and the singing of Christmas carols on the steps of the
post office.
To participate as a downtown vendor, participate in the parade or
volunteer for this year’s Christmas in Pendleton celebration, e-mail
