Salvation Army needs ringers
The Salvation Army is in need of bell ringers for this holiday season.
Bell ringers are stationed at the Marsh store in Pendleton.
Two-hour time slots are available on weeknights from 4 to 8 p.m. and weekends from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

‘Friends’ selling holiday cards
Pendleton Friends of the Library is selling Christmas cards as its winter project.
There are three designs; two are winter scenes in Pendleton and the third is a depiction of the Falls Park lighthouse.
The lighthouse card was designed by Dan Rosenow.
Cards may be purchased at the Pendleton Community Public Library, 595 E. Water St., at a cost of $4 per five-card packet.
Conservation club to meet
Fall Creek Valley Conservation Club has scheduled a meeting for 6:30 p.m. Dec. 19 to discuss improvements to the trap shooting range. The meeting is open to the public.
Alzheimer’s group to meet Thursday
The Alzheimer’s Association support group will meet 4 to 6 p.m., Dec. 19 at Sherman Street Annex located at 1820 Sherman Street in Anderson.
This Alzheimer’s Association support group meets monthly to provide caregivers with an opportunity to share their experiences and receive support from others coping with Alzheimer’s disease. Meetings are open to the public and facilitated by a trained professional or family member.

Church group plans breakfast
The Christian Men’s Fellowship East Christian Church, Markleville has scheduled its monthly all-you-can-eat breakfast for 8 to 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 21, in the downstairs of the church’s fellowship hall.
The menu includes pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs, juice and coffee, with a free-will offering accepted.
The East Christian Church is located at 124 E. Main St., Markleville, and is handicap accessible.
