Community Fish Fry Friday


The Pendleton First United Methodist Church will host a community fish fry from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Friday, June 21.

Tickets for those 13 and older cost $10; ages 6-12 cost $5; and those 5 and under are free.

Menu includes batter fried cod, grilled hot dogs, fries, coleslaw, hush puppies, dessert and drinks.

There will also be live music, bounce houses and games for children.

‘Sideways’ band to play AMVETS


The Sideways band is scheduled to perform from 9 p.m.–1 a.m. Saturday, June 22, at Pendleton AMVETS Post 26. This event is open to all 21 or older.  For more details, contact Doug Riley at 765-623-0166.

PGC garden walk set for June 22


The Pendleton Garden Club will conduct its seventh annual Garden Walk from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Saturday, June 22. Tickets to the event cost $5. Homes included on the tour are located at 350 S. East St., 303 Irving Way, 6365 S, Lorry Lane, 1106 Fall Creek Overlook and 1019 Porto Bello Road. Tickets may be purchased at any garden listed above the day of the event. In case of severe weather, the event will be moved to Sunday, June 23 from 1-5 p.m.

Lapel Community Band Schedule


The Lapel Community Band is ready for summer with five area concerts planned. They are:

3 p.m. Saturday, June 22 — Carmel Music Festival, Carmel

8:30 p.m. Sunday, June 30 — Shadyside Park, Anderson

6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 18 — Davis Park, Anderson

6:30 p.m. Sunday, July 21 — Seminary Park, Noblesville

The Lapel Community Band, formed in the year 2000, is dedicated to providing top-level musical entertainment to its audiences and presenting an opportunity for individual musical expression, enjoyment and growth among its members.

The Mighty God Bible School


The Mighty God Vacation Bible School will be from 6:30- 8:30 p.m. June 24-28 at Solid Rock Baptist Church, located at 6509 S. Ind. 67.

The VBS is open to children 2 through fifth grade

MNC church to offer VBS


The Markleville North Christian Church, 32 N State St, is offering a Vacation Bible School 6-8:30 p.m. June 24 - 28,

Ages 3 to 12 are invited to Kingdom Chronicles, standing strong in the Battle for Truth.
