Madison County - For Madison County’s East Central Roller Derby fans, enduring or causing a little pain is worth it if raising money for a good cause.
At least such is the case with Dave Newby, a man whose joke about getting his legs waxed for charity snowballed into an actual fundraising event.
“At each one of our bouts, we choose a local charity to help raise money for,” ECRD Press Representative and Coordinator Fran Tomlinson said. “After choosing the Madison County Humane Society, we heard that there was a particular fan that was interested in helping out.”
