Pendleton - Pendleton Fire Department Chief Danny Gardner said one family was fortunate their home caught fire while they weren’t inside.

“Luckily there are no injuries to report,” Gardner said. “The house was empty during the time of the fire.”

Gardner said the PFD was dispatched shortly after 7 a.m. Thursday, May 24, to a residential fire at 534 W. CR 1100S. in Pendleton.
