Pendleton - Officials at the South Madison Community Foundation said the organization’s first Match Day went was a success, with more than $10,000 raised for local community causes.
“The day really went very well,” Community Outreach intern Caitlyn Evans said. “We had about 30 people come in and at the end of the day we almost reached our goal.”
SMCF was open from noon to midnight Dec. 12 and invited the community to donate to eight different funds from around the area. The Foundation matched $2 to every $1 donated.
