South Madison - The South Madison Community Foundation recently helped nearly 100 teachers in South Madison afford educational enhancement tools for the classroom.
SMCF Intern Caitlin Evans confirmed that close to $10,000 was handed out to teachers last week.
“The South Madison Community Foundation recently accepted applications for a Teacher Mini-Grant initiative for Lapel and South Madison schools,” Evans said. “A total of 96 educators were awarded a total of $9512.99.”
The mini-grants were open to all teachers at all schools in South Madison, including Pendleton and Lapel schools.
