Pendleton - Pendleton Heights girls swimming won the Hoosier Heritage Conference meet Saturday, Jan. 18, at New Palestine, with three first-, two second- and four third-place finishes.
The Arabians scored 381.5 points, 23.5 more than Yorktown, and captured a conference title for the first time since 1992.
Senior Taylor Fiew repeated as diving champion (261.95 score), giving PH 13 wins in 15 years at conference, with five different divers.
Juniors Micalah Booher and Madison Kordes, along with freshmen Cassidy Benbow and Madison Brand, won the 400 freestyle relay in 3:53.10, as PH won the event for the second straight year.
Brand was the Arabians’ other individual winner, in the 500 free in 5:35.71.
Booher was second in the 200 free, as was the 200 free relay team of Booher, Benbow, Kordes and junior Katey Stout.
PH’s third-place finishers were Booher (100 butterfly), Stout (100 free), Kordes (200 individual medley) and the 200 medley relay (Stout, Brand and juniors Rebekah Monnier and Breanna Oaldon).
