Ingalls - Ingalls is removing a portion of land from its proposed annexation site after several residents from the area have stated they’d rather be part of Pendleton.
While Ingalls started its non-voluntary annexation plans last year, Pendleton was approached by several residents last month about the possibility of being voluntarily annexed into the community of their choosing.
Ingalls Clerk-Treasurer Kip Golden said the council discussed its annexation plans at its regularly scheduled meeting Monday, March 10.
“This decision was basically made on the recommendation of the town engineer,” Golden said. “The council decided by consensus to remove part of the proposed site.”
