Lapel - Lapel boys basketball coach Jimmie Howell was honored before the Bulldogs’ game Friday, Jan. 11, against Hamilton Heights for reaching 500 career wins.
Howell earned the milestone victory Wednesday, Jan. 2, against Alexandria in the Madison County Tournament.
But by the end of the weekend, he had that number in his rear-view mirror.
