Lapel - Lapel split two games last week in the consolation bracket of the Madison County Tournament and finished sixth of eight teams.

On Monday, Dec. 31, the Bulldogs beat Liberty Christian 59-28, holding the Lions to a single point in the first quarter en route to a 38-9 halftime lead.

Sophomore Kirsten Rich had nine points, six rebounds and six assists for the Bulldogs, while junior Kaitlin Dobbins also scored nine to go along with six assists.

The Bulldogs (10-3) fell to Frankton 45-43 Thursday, Jan. 3, as Rich scored 17 and had five assists, and junior Mackenzie Boles tallied 11 and grabbed 11 rebounds.
