Lapel - Lapel’s boys track squad hung with six-time defending champion Pendleton Heights for quite a while in the Madison County meet Friday, April 18 at Madison-Grant.

In a meet that wasn’t decided until the final race, the Bulldogs scored six event wins and finished a strong second to the Arabians, 156.5-148.5.

Senior Dalton Busch doubled in the 200 meter race, going 23.21 seconds, and the 400, with a meet-record time of 50.89. Busch also ran second in the 100.

Junior Noah Hendershot also won twice, in the 110 hurdles (16.30) and 800 (2:05).
