Lapel - For the second time this season, Lapel’s football team came back from a defeat the week before to win.
Brady Cherry, who came in as the state’s No. 2 passer in yardage, threw for four more touchdowns and 300 yards Friday, Sept. 13, as the host Bulldogs downed Park Tudor 38-14.
Lapel raced to a 25-0 lead at halftime and improved to 2-2 (1-1 in the Indiana Crossroads Conference). The Bulldogs broke a five-game skid to Park Tudor dating to 2002.
“We put it all together in the first half and I think (the first half) was as good as we played all season,” Lapel coach Tim Miller said. “We continue to move forward every week.”
