Lapel - The Lapel Marching Band and Color Guard will head to downtown Indianapolis for the annual IPL Festival 500 Parade, after being invited in early March.
“The students are very excited,” Band Director of 33 years Greg Scott said.
The Marching Bulldogs are just one of eight to 10 bands normally chosen to march in the nationally televised event. Scott said that about 90 band members and six color guard students would be making the trip to downtown Indianapolis.
