The annual Students to Europe auction held at Lapel High School on Saturday, April 13, 2013, brought in $12,214. This total was an all-time high dollar amount for this auction.

On behalf of all the students who profited from this auction, I would like to thank all the workers, donators and those who attended the auction and supported it by purchasing items.

There are 42 LHS juniors enrolled at this time to travel to Europe on the annual 10-day trip in the fall of their senior year. This will be the 18th consecutive year for the seniors at LHS to participate in this trip to Europe. The students have been working all year on fundraisers to help with the cost of this activity. The auction was the final fundraiser. In all, the fundraisers for the year for this project brought in $23,995.

It is incredible to see the backing and the support that this small community gives to the students of LHS. So, once again, I would like to thank the parents, community members, patrons, businesses and everyone else who has been supportive of these activities. You have truly made a difference in the lives of these students by helping them participate in this amazing educational opportunity. Without your support, some of these students would not be able to participate in this trip.
