Madison County Sheriff’s Department accident report:
Monday, March 25
7:01 a.m., personal injury accident, Ind. 32 at CR 1000 West (Atlantic Road). Two people were injured in morning crash on Ind. 32 near Lapel. According to Sheriff Ron Richardson, Denny S. Stapleton, 33, Lapel, was traveling west on Ind. 32 in a 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier. A red vehicle turned in front of Stapleton and when he attempt to stop to avoid striking the red vehicle, he lost control of his vehicle and struck a 2010 Honda Crossover head-on, the Honda was operated by Ann L. Silcox, 52, of Noblesville. Silcox also confirmed that Stapleton lost control of his vehicle as he was attempting to avoid hitting the vehicle that had turned in front of him.
The red vehicle that turned in front Stapleton of continued on.
Stapleton was transported by ambulance to St. Vincent at exit 210 for complaint of pain to head, neck, chest and right arm.
Silcox, was transported by ambulance to Riverview Hospital in Noblesville, for Complaint of pain to neck and knee.
