Pendleton - The Lions Club hosted its fourth annual Kids Fishing Derby Saturday, Aug. 10, with several children turning out for the event. Held at Falls Park, children were allowed to fish the stocked pond between 8:30-11:30 a.m.  

First-place winner in the 5- to 8-year-old age group for Most Fish was Ian Stephens with 11 fish. Second place went to Aaron Matthews. For Biggest Fish, first place went to Jacey Johnson with a 29-inch carp and second place to Jaylin Johnson.

First-place winner in the 9- to 12-year-old age group for Most Fish was William Davidson, and second place went to Braden Milner. For Biggest Fish, first place went to Aldan Santana and second place to Jordan Busald.
