Pendleton - The assistant principal at Maple Ridge Elementary School recently received a pat on the back from the Indiana Association of School Principals District 5, which includes the counties of Madison, Hamilton, Boone, Tipton, Howard and Miami.
The association awarded Heather Lucas the Assistant Principal of the Year award after being nominated by her boss and friend Principal John Lord.
“I nominated her because of her outstanding service,” Lord said. “She’s wonderful with the kids, great with the parents and a positive advocate for our school.”
