Pendleton - A non-profit that helps clothe needy children is looking to a popular southern city for inspiration at its fifth annual Gala event, which is scheduled for 6 p.m. Feb. 23.
“We’re getting ready for our biggest fundraiser of the year,” Outfitters Director of Development Tom Harvey said. “This year our theme is Mardi Gras.”
Harvey said he was excited for the Mardi Gras-themed event. Last year, the Gala helped raised $43,000.
“We had a good year last time,” Harvey said. “But we do have a goal of $50,000 for this year. What’s so great is that all this money goes right back into the community.”
