South Madison County - If it’s early May, it must be time for the Madison County Golf Championship to belong to Pendleton Heights.

The Arabians earned their fifth title in as many years on May 4 at Edgewood Golf Course, dominating the field with five of the top six scores coming from Arabian clubs.

With a score of 293, PHHS bested second-place Lapel by 28 strokes, who turned in a 321. Anderson was third with 350. Colin Proctor (at right) earned medalist honors with a day’s total score of 72, just one stroke ahead of teammate Rylan Denney.

“We played well, and 293 is just a great team score,” coach Jim Phillips said.
