Pendleton - Arabian football coach John Broughton has said all season that his team still had a lot of work to do. That became evident Saturday at Lucas Oil Stadium as Pendleton Heights lost to Shelbyville 17-14 in the Horseshoe Classic.

The Arabians – which had three lopsided wins under their belt — managed just 46 net yards rushing for the game, compared to the Golden Bears 247.

“That tells you the story of the football game,” Broughton said. “They won the line of scrimmage on the offense and defensive side. That was our strength last year, but we graduated a bunch of them.”
