Pendleton - While the sun shined on the opening match of the season for the Pendleton Heights girls tennis team, the visiting Mt. Vernon Marauders took the opening day match 3-2, April 4.

Winning for the Arabians were singles players Carly Wilson and Emma McCardwell.

Providing the weather cooperates, the Madison County tourney should begin Wednesday, April 10, at Highland Middle School in Anderson.
