Pendleton - Oh what a night! After being denied by the Anderson Indians in their last two meetings, the Pendleton Heights Arabians girls basketball team drew upon their “never say die” attitude to bring the Madison County Girls Basketball Champions title to Pendleton by defeating the Tribe in Pendleton 61-56, Jan. 3.

Anderson previously had bested the Arabians last year not only for the county championship, but the sectional as well.

“I’m just so proud,” said Coach Holly Hollinger-Gutierrez. “My kids just don’t quit. They respond to the things I ask them to do, and they pull out exactly what I want them to do.”
