PH boys tennis falls to Yorktown

Pendleton

The Pendleton Heights boys tennis team lost 4-1 to host Yorktown Sept. 10.

The lone winner for the Arabians was the No. 2 doubles team of Mitch Staley and Sam McKinney. The won their match with scores of 6-2, 6-1.

The Arabians are 3-3 for the season and host Lapel Thursday, Sept. 19, beginning at 4:30 p.m.

PH girls soccer 6-3 after splitting pair

Pendleton

The Pendleton Heights girls soccer team ended the week of play with a win at Shelbyville and a loss to Park Tudor.

Against visiting Park Tudor, the Arabians fell 3-0 Sept. 12, but at Shelbyville Sept. 10, the Arabians left the Golden Bears field with an 8-2 win.

For the Arabians, Shelby Fort scored four of the teams goals, while Emily Church had two. Sydney McCullum scored the final goal for the Arabians. Assisting with goals were Hannah Watts, Church, Fort, McCullum, Madisan Wiles and Libby Stahly.

Goalie Sarah Galliher had seven saves for the Arabians.

This the team was 6-3 with road games at Yorktown, Delta and New Castle on successive days beginning Sept. 17.
