Pendleton - A long-standing tradition for senior art students at Pendleton Heights High School, the annual Senior Art Show, is scheduled for this weekend.
PHHS art teacher Jewel Morgan said the Senior Art Show has been happening for decades and is always one of her favorite parts of the school year.
“It’s been going on for longer than I’ve been here, and I’ve been here for 20 years,” Morgan said. “We don’t have the exact date, but we think it’s at least 30 years old.”
The event will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 18, at the Pendleton Historical Museum in Falls Park.
“It’s always been held at the museum,” Morgan said. “The members are the ones that approached the art department years ago to do this for us. It was with their cooperation that this was initiated.”
