Pendleton - After ordering one historical sign to adorn the outside of the Town Hall, the Town of Pendleton has applied for funding for more than a dozen additional signs.

Pendleton Planning Director Tim McClintick said the town has applied for funding through the Food and Beverage Tax Commission, which oversees the dispensation of food and beverage tax money collected throughout the county.

“We’re hoping that they make the decision soon,” McClintick said. “They should have their final meeting next week.”

He said the town had asked for 13 more signs.
