Pendleton student named President’s Scholar at ISU

Pendleton - Valerie Taylor of Pendleton has been named a President’s Scholar at Indiana State University.  A graduate of Pendleton Heights High School, she is the daughter of Kim and Mike Taylor.

Taylor plans to major in nursing at Indiana State. While in high school, Taylor was active in the South Madison Youth Commission, Students against Destructive Decisions, Beta and National Honor Society.

The President’s Scholarship is Indiana State’s most prestigious financial award, with a four-year value of $68,000. President’s Scholars are chosen based on academic performance in high school, personal accomplishments and interviews during campus visits.
