The Pendleton Police Department investigated the following cases recently:
Wednesday, Sept. 18
3:20 p.m., April D. Flores, 30, Indianapolis, was arrested on charges of Operating While Intoxicated. Ac-cording to police reports, Madison County Dispatch said a caller was behind a vehicle traveling southbound on Ind. 67 from Huntsville Road. As the officer was en route to investigate, dispatch received another call from the witness stating the suspect vehicle had hit his/her car and then continued south. The officer spotted the vehicle traveling slowly and all over the roadway. The vehicle then drove between a left turn lane and a straight lane before making a sharp turn into a service station parking lot. The officer activated his lights and then approached the vehicle, noting a strong odor of alcoholic beverage coming from the suspect. The driver admitted to drinking several shots of whiskey about an hour prior. The driver failed two field sobriety tests. A portable breath test registered a reading of .23 BAC. The driver refused implied consent and was arrested for OWI (Refusal), and given a portable breath test at the Madison County Jail with a reading of .23 BAC.
