The Pendleton Police Department investigated the following cases recently:
Sunday, Sept. 1
2 a.m., Randall C. Turner, 23, Pendleton, was charged with Driving While Suspended-Prior. According to police reports, an officer was traveling north on Ind. 9 behind a vehicle heading toward Ind. 67. After stopping for a red light, the vehicle did not proceed when the light turned green. The officer activated his emergency lights, and the driver exited the vehicle stating he was out of gas. Dispatch said the driver’s license was suspended with 24 points. The driver admitted he drank a couple of beers earlier in the evening; he tested .065 on a portable breath test. The driver was transported to the Madison County Jail, where he was incarcerated.
