Pendleton - The Pendleton Police Department will soon have a new fleet of cars in which to patrol town. Eight 2013 Dodge Chargers were ordered earlier this month.

Replacing the current fleet because of outdated warranties, Captain Randy Sidwell said the eight cars were ordered from Kahlo in Noblesville after being quoted $186,472.

Sidwell said while that was the number the department was quoted, it’s important to remember that’s not what the department paid.

“We traded in four of our previous Chargers and one Dodge Magnum,” Sidwell said. “Those trade-in’s took off a pretty good chunk.”
