The Pendleton Police Department investigated the following cases recently:

1:33 a.m., Ashley L. Bennett, 23, Indianapolis, was arrested on charges of operating while intoxicated and driving while suspended-prior. According to police reports, an officer observed a vehicle northbound on Ind. 67 make a right turn without activating a signal. After stopping the vehicle and talking to the driver, the officer observed a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage. The driver then failed several field sobriety tests and tested .17 grams of alcohol per 210 liters of breath. A records check found the driver’s license had been suspended-prior. The driver was transported to the Madison County Jail, where she was given a Certified Chemical Breath Test, which measured .018 grams of alcohol per 210 liters of breath. The woman was then arrested.
